Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This is the official website and manual for Shadowrocket Client. This policy explains how data is handled when you visit this site, including its pages and navigation. For data handling within the Shadowrocket app and App Store purchases, refer to the applicable privacy information and terms.
1. Scope and Information Boundaries
This site provides static pages with guidance on verifying the genuine app, tutorials, and configuration references. It has no user registration, email subscription, or comment submission features. You do not need to provide your name, email address, Apple ID, or payment information to read the manual.
The tutorials assume that you already have your own subscription or server details. Manage this information in the app, and do not include it in page URLs or feedback. This site does not provide proxy servers. The app’s one-time purchase is not a service subscription; the app purchase and any connectivity service you already use are managed separately.
2. Access Logs and Analytics
Even static pages are delivered through network requests. When handling these requests, the hosting provider may process technical information such as IP addresses, requested paths, access times, browser details, and response statuses. This information may be used to deliver pages, diagnose access errors, and handle unusual requests.
This site uses analytics to understand page views, navigation, and clicks on App Store buttons, helping improve content and identify broken links. Analytics may include page URLs, referring pages, device or browser categories, visit times, and interaction events. You are not asked to submit app configurations or purchase credentials.
A click on a store button only indicates that you chose to open the product page. It does not confirm a successful purchase, the payment amount, or the store account used. Analytics are primarily used in aggregate and are not used to build individual records of connectivity use.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
Whether analytics use cookies depends on the analytics settings in effect and your browser settings. When enabled, cookies may help distinguish visits and reduce duplicate counts. Cookies are browser data, not Shadowrocket connection settings.
Page interactions may also use browser storage to remember reading preferences. Some states can be restored using section identifiers in the URL, such as tab links; these URL states are not cookies. This site does not ask you to store server passwords or subscription details in local storage.
You can use your browser settings to restrict cookies, clear site data, or limit scripts. Clearing data may reset saved preferences and limit some interactive or analytics features, but static content will remain available.
4. External App Store Links
Shadowrocket is available only on Apple platforms, and its only source is the App Store product page (opens in a new tab). Apple operates the product page. Once you open the link, subsequent browsing, account sign-in, purchases, and restoring purchases are subject to Apple’s applicable terms and privacy policy.
This site does not process payments or collect Apple ID passwords. When your browser opens an external page, it sends a request to the destination service, which may include referrer information. Check the App Store page for device compatibility, system requirements, and pricing.
5. Your Choices and Information Protection
You can choose whether to open store links and manage site permissions and storage through your browser. This site uses access logs and analytics only as needed to operate and maintain the service. This policy does not promise a uniform retention period for all technical records; actual retention depends on hosting and analytics settings.
If you need help troubleshooting, start with Troubleshooting or the user guide. When describing an issue, focus on the steps you took and what went wrong. Avoid including full subscription URLs, authentication details, payment credentials, or other personally identifiable information.
6. Policy Updates
This policy may be revised when data handling practices or site features change. The full updated text and the month of the latest revision will be posted at the top of this page. Changes involving new purposes for data collection or new storage methods will also be explained alongside the relevant feature. Refer to the current version on this page for details about how this site handles data.
